His presence is noticeable in the streets, but also in the works, where a partner is responsible for personifying the widow.<br />
He dresses in black, puts on a wig and puts on makeup. The crying is only at the beginning, because then it becomes flirtatious and tries to fall in love with the men who are in its path.<br />
But his show is not free, in his tour of the streets or offices calls for a collaboration (money) to bury his "husband", who is personified by a puppet who is also given the name of old year.<br />

  • QUITO, ECUADOR - 12-30-2018.- The End of the Year celebration in Ecuador has a special character: the widow, who is responsible for mourning the year that is dismissed. His presence is noticeable in the streets, but also in the works, where a partner is responsible for personifying the widow.<br />
He dresses in black, puts on a wig and puts on makeup. The crying is only at the beginning, because then it becomes flirtatious and tries to fall in love with the men who are in its path.<br />
But his show is not free, in his tour of the streets or offices calls for a collaboration (money) to bury his "husband", who is personified by a puppet who is also given the name of old year.<br />
